struggled harmony 12X16 Watercolor on Watercolor paper (140 lbs)
This painting was on location at Palo Duro Canyon. It was meant to show the contrast of light and dark associated with life and death. I wanted to express the dualities that are associated with good and bad in a visual way. The tree itself looked as if it had fought with death its entire life because of its gnarled wrapping in on itself and its morbid graceful structure.
I was looking for a deviation to feature for New Year's and this is the one I'd like to display in our journal. Please let me know if you'd rather not have it featured. You've done a beautiful job on this one. The colors are fresh and vivid and it has such a peaceful feeling to it (at least to me )
